Police in Haskovo issued six certificates on election day in the second round of the presidential and vice-presidential vote, the police press office said. The certificates were issued by staff of the Bulgarian identity documents section at the regional Interior Ministry directorate.
The day passed without incident in the region, and there were no fire safety problems at any site linked to the vote.
Police have issued 20 certificates since the start of the week.
In the week of the first round, which was held on 25 October, they issued 18, five of them on election day itself.
After the polling stations closed, Interior Ministry officers continued to guard the ballot papers and election documents and escort them to the district election commission, which works from the Druzhba hall in Haskovo.
