Voting in Haskovo region has ended in the presidential run-off, said Ina Veskova, head of the regional election commission (RIK). All polling station commissions in the region have reported that their count of the vote for president and vice president is complete.
The first round was a week ago, when the Central Election Commission (CIK) announced the end of voting day at 9pm.
What happened earlier: Presidential voting day ends, turnout at 4pm was 16.04%
The regional administration collects the information from all municipalities, sums it up and passes it to the RIK. Veskova said the data reached the commission at about 8.30pm. She will give more details on voting day at a briefing later.
The first to hand in their election papers at the Druzhba hall in Haskovo were the mobile polling station commission, the commission from the Haskovo pre-trial detention centre and the commission from the Haskovo multi-profile hospital for active treatment. The hall has 12 workstations for RIK members and 21 teams from Information Services.
About 225,000 people had the right to vote in the region today. Of the 475 polling stations in the electoral district, 350 used voting machines.
