How it all started: Trend poll: run-off between Yotova and Gyurov is certain, 47% say they will vote

Gyurov said the two candidates would use the debate to set out their positions and explain how they plan to use their powers. It would show "how we will act when Bulgaria faces a hard choice".

Gyurov thanked those who backed him and those who chose someone else. He said Bulgaria is one country and should not be divided into "ours" and "yours".

He added that the result for his ticket with Georgi Kandev shows huge trust, which obliges them to keep fighting for a new direction for Bulgaria.
