Fire crews across Bulgaria put out 101 fires in the past 24 hours, the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Population Protection said. They took 156 emergency calls over the same period.
Twenty of the fires caused damage. Six broke out in homes, four in outbuildings and makeshift or temporary structures, three in vehicles and three more in other places. One hit an industrial building, one broke out in a forest, one on farmland and one at an outdoor site.
The other 81 fires caused no damage. Most of them, 49, broke out in dry grass, forest litter and bushes. Waste caught fire in 22 cases, stubble fields in three, cookers and chimneys in three, and four broke out elsewhere. No one died or was hurt.
Crews also carried out 48 rescue and support jobs after car crashes and industrial accidents, and answered calls for technical help. They also went out to seven false alarms.
