Firefighters put out 105 fires in the last 24 hours, and one person died in the incidents. The figures come from the interior ministry's fire safety directorate as of 6:00am this morning.
Crews responded to 154 calls in total.
Eighteen of the fires caused damage – seven in homes, five in cars and other vehicles, and one in a forest.
The other 87 fires caused no damage. Of these, 46 broke out in dry grass, forest litter and bushes, and 37 in rubbish. The remaining four were of other kinds.
Firefighters also took part in 43 rescue and support operations, ten of them at road accidents.
Six of the fire calls turned out to be false alarms.
