Firefighters across Bulgaria put out 84 fires in the past 24 hours, with no deaths or injuries, the Directorate General for Fire Safety and Civil Protection says. Crews handled 132 emergency calls in total.
Sixteen of the fires caused damage. Seven broke out in homes, four in vehicles, two in outbuildings, temporary structures or shacks, and the rest elsewhere. The other 68 fires caused no damage.
Crews also carried out 43 rescue and support operations. Seven followed traffic crashes, and 34 involved technical assistance. Five calls turned out to be false alarms.
