Health inspectors in all 28 regions of Bulgaria have logged more than 7,600 checks in a new electronic system, the Ministry of Health press office said.
Most of them, 6,900, were checks on compliance with health rules. Another 370 were prompted by a specific case, 280 were to register sites, and 110 covered set topics.
A register of biocides with 3,768 entries was added to the system last week. The press office said inspectors no longer use separate registers and now enter their checks straight into the platform.
The press office said the updated Register of Public Sites is easier to use and its information is easier to find. Its data updates automatically every two hours, and more than 20,000 users have visited it.
The National Health Control System records the work of 1,800 inspectors. It holds data on more than 200,000 public sites in over 700 groups, and on 39,000 medical facilities.
The regional health inspectorates, the ministry and Information Services are developing the platform together. Every week they discuss how to improve it and what suggestions the inspectors have.
