President Iliana Iotova will award the President's Badge of Honour to three Bulgarian officers at a ceremony at 12:00 in the Coat of Arms Hall at 2 Dondukov Street, the president's press office said.

Major Marin Taskov is honoured for his high professionalism and major contribution to bringing dangerous fire situations under control. Lieutenant colonel Dimitar Metaksov receives the badge for his high professionalism and major contribution to protecting the sovereignty of Bulgaria's airspace and national security.

Retired lieutenant colonel Metodi Nikolov is honoured for his contribution to the development of the Bulgarian Air Force and for raising its prestige.

The National Military History Museum has also received the President's Badge of Honour, on the anniversary of its founding, BTA recalled. The award recognises its many years of work to protect national memory, preserve the history of the Bulgarian army and carry out active military-patriotic activity.
