Deputy regional governor Viktor Marev and Haskovo mayor Stanislav Dechev attended a memorial service for Archangel's Saturday of the Dead at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The service honoured soldiers who died in the line of duty.

Father Konstantin led the prayer for the dead.

Wreaths were laid on behalf of Bulgaria's defence minister and the chief of defence of the Bulgarian Army.

Deputy mayor Dinko Tenev, Major Georgi Paskov, commander of military unit 52740 in Haskovo, and Lt Col Hristo Vasilev, commander of the Koren training range, also bowed in memory of the fallen.

Major Anna Ivanova commands military unit 34920, and Lt Col Petar Petkov heads the Haskovo military district office. Both were at the ceremony, along with clergy and local residents.
