Parliament will debate a government bill today to amend the law on state reserves and wartime stocks, according to the National Assembly agenda. It is the first item on the programme. See our original report: DPS wants two hearings for interior minister Demerdzhiev in parliament.
The changes would create a legal way to get access to the documents held at the Central Technical Base in the village of Sokolovo. Companies with an assigned wartime task and a permit for the relevant type of military equipment would be allowed in.
The second item is a hearing for interior minister Ivan Demerdzhiev, requested by Progressive Bulgaria. The party wants to hear "data on corrupt practices linked to public procurement for installing guardrails". It also asks whether money paid under such contracts went to fund flights by Delyan Peevski. It wants to know how much the flights cost, how they were invoiced, who paid for them, and whether there is information on people linked to them.
MPs will also vote at second reading on changes to the Clean Ambient Air Act, another government bill. They will also vote on ratifying the air services agreement between the governments of Bulgaria and Mongolia, signed in Sofia on 21 November 2025. The government tabled that too.
The sitting will open with two statements. Progressive Bulgaria will speak about the case against Iva Mihaylova in Kochani, and Vazrazhdane will speak on International Dyslexia Awareness Day.
