Police in Haskovo say they received 23 bomb threats on 6 October — targeting the courthouse, 12 schools and 11 kindergartens in the city. Checks found no explosives.

This follows our earlier report on 13 bomb threats at schools and other institutions across Haskovo province a day earlier, on 5 October.

Haskovo police also ran special checks at shops, pawnshops, currency exchange offices and scrap metal buying points. Officers also checked people flagged as possible vote buyers.
