Police in Plovdiv have received bomb threats against government buildings and kindergartens in the city, the regional interior ministry department told BTA. The threats also target the Plovdiv district prosecutor's office and the regional governor's building.

The threats came as text messages sent online. Police patrols were sent to the sites as soon as the reports came in and are following standard procedure, the department said.

Bomb threats have also been reported in other Bulgarian towns.
