Euro edges up against dollar and pound, gains more ground on the franc

The euro edged up against the dollar and the pound, and rose more sharply against the Swiss franc, according to BTA.

At 10:00, one euro bought $1.138 — up 0.07% from before.

Against the pound, the euro rose 0.05% to 0.861 pounds. But it gained the most against the franc — up 0.23%, to 0.944 francs per euro.

Despite the morning gain, the dollar rate still sits below the reference rate the European Central Bank set yesterday — $1.1411 per euro. In turn, the ECB puts the dollar at 0.8763 euros.
