The European Central Bank has set the euro's new reference rate at $1.1411. The bank and Bulgaria's central bank both announced the rate, which is lower than yesterday's, when the euro traded at $1.1463.

Going the other way, one dollar now buys 0.8763 euros, up from 0.8723 euros the day before.

The rates are set under article 12, paragraph 1 of the Currency Law. The Bulgarian National Bank says the figures are for information only and should not be used to strike actual deals.
