The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced that the deadline for political parties, coalitions, and initiative committees to submit nominations for presidential candidate pairs expires today at 17:00. According to the institution's schedule, the elections will be held on 25 October 2026.

Within this same timeframe, the CEC must also register the proposed candidates for president and vice president.

According to the schedule, today is the final day for parties, coalitions, and initiative committees to request the withdrawal of their election registration. The Commission is required to issue a formal decision regarding such requests within the same deadline.

As of 17:00 on 21 September, the commission has received documentation for 24 presidential candidate pairs seeking to participate in the upcoming presidential election.
