Businesses buying power on the day-ahead market of the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange will pay 133.80 euros per megawatt-hour on average, before VAT, for delivery tomorrow, 30 September, the exchange said after trading closed today.
At yesterday's close, the average price for today stood at 161.82 euros per megawatt-hour. Tomorrow's price is 17.32% higher.
During peak hours, from 9am to 8pm, the average price is 93.10 euros per megawatt-hour. Outside peak hours — from 1am to 8am and from 9pm to midnight — it climbs to 174.50 euros per megawatt-hour.
Traders sold 106,164.20 megawatt-hours of electricity in all.
On the intraday market, the weighted average price for 60-minute products is 136.11 euros per megawatt-hour before VAT. For 15-minute products, the weighted average price so far today stands at 153.52 euros per megawatt-hour before VAT.
