Firms that applied for minimal aid have until 12 October, from 8 October, to fix or complete their applications in their accounts on the Electronic Platform, the Road Infrastructure Agency (API) said.
Only applicants who need to make corrections, add missing data or attach required documents can use their accounts. On 7 October they received emails telling them exactly what to fix in their applications.
The most common problems are missing documents, unsigned declarations and inaccurate data. There are also errors in the details of vehicles, the right to use them and for what periods, and in the bank accounts given.
The national toll authority said the open accounts can only be used to change applications already sent. It is not accepting new ones.
At the end of August, the government adopted a minimal aid scheme called "Aid to support the costs of keeping the heavy road haulage sector competitive in the Republic of Bulgaria". It did so with Decree No. 115 of 27 August 2026. The Council of Ministers decided that API manages the aid and pays it out.
Applications ran from 2 to 17 September, entirely through the platform. In that time, 4,563 transport firms with a total of 36,747 road vehicles registered in the system.
Up to €55m is set aside for the sector. The largest amount for a single firm is €300,000, and this sum includes any other minimal aid the firm received over three years. How much each firm gets depends on the toll fees it paid in 2025.
API said it will split the total pot among approved applicants according to the fees they paid, once all approved applicants are known.
