The village of Momkovo has received new benches, a gazebo, waste bins, and children's playground equipment following the completion of a 2025 municipal project, which included clearing vegetation, creating an alleyway, and restoring the park paving.
These improvements complement the recently completed renovation of the village's central square. The municipal enterprise "Landscaping and Greenery" invested 21,500 euro from its own budget to renovate an area of 623 sq. m. The process involved removing old and damaged paving, followed by the installation of new tiles that have transformed the overall appearance of the square. As part of the landscaping works, adjacent sidewalks were refurbished, new curbs were installed, decorative flowering shrubs were planted, and new bins were put in place.
The implementation of such projects is characteristic of Momkovo, which is among the largest villages in the Svilengrad municipality. In 2024, repairs were carried out on "Rodopi" Street, which included laying new asphalt, installing curbs, and applying both vertical and horizontal road markings. These activities are part of ongoing efforts to improve the infrastructure and public environment in the region.
