The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology forecasts mostly sunny weather in the mountains today, with temperatures reaching up to 21° at an altitude of 1200 meters and up to 14° at 2000 meters. Temporary cloud cover is expected in the afternoon, but without precipitation, and the wind will be light to moderate from the northeast, while blowing from the north on the highest peaks.
The past 24 hours have passed without any incidents involving tourists, reported the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC). Currently, conditions for tourism are good, the weather is clear, and temperatures range between 6 and 11 degrees.
Despite the calm situation, the MRS urges visitors to the mountains to be cautious due to the expected cloud cover in the afternoon hours.
