In view of this, the Municipality of Nesebar urges families to act responsibly and provide full cooperation to ensure children attend educational institutions regularly.
For the 2026/2027 school year, local authorities remind that participation in preschool and school education is mandatory for the following groups:
- Children born in 2021 — subject to mandatory preschool education (pursuant to Article 8, paragraph 1 of the Preschool and School Education Act).
- Children born in 2019 — subject to mandatory school education (pursuant to Article 8, paragraph 2 of the same Act).
Legal provisions require parents not only to enroll their children in the relevant educational institution but also to ensure their consistent attendance throughout the entire period during which education is mandatory. The Municipality of Nesebar emphasizes these requirements to ensure the proper conduct of the educational process and compliance with national legislation.
