The National Social Security Institute will pay pregnancy and birth benefits, child-raising benefits for children up to age 2, and adoption benefits for children up to age 5 on October 6. The money covers September, and everyone entitled to it will get paid, since the law requires these payments within 5 working days after the month ends.
Pensions paid through post offices start on Wednesday, October 7, and run until October 20, with each post office announcing its own schedule in advance. The institute will also transfer October pensions into pensioners' bank accounts on the same date.
People who are out of work will get their benefits on Thursday, October 15.
The institute says it updates payment information for insured people and pensioners every month and posts it on its website.
Figures the institute released last week show pension spending had passed 8.8 billion euros by August 2026.
