The exhibition "From Garden to You – Elenovo 2026" will continue tomorrow in the center of the village of Elenovo, Novozagorski region, where visitors can provide charitable support to the "Sunny Children 2024" Foundation. Financial support for the initiative is provided by the State Fund "Agriculture".
The first day of the forum begins with an official opening at 10:00, attended by the Minister of Agriculture and Food, Plamen Abrovski. The organizers from the Fruit and Vegetable Industry Chamber (FVIC) clarify that the event is being held with the special support of the Sliven Regional Administration and the "Svetlina 1908" Community Center – Elenovo. Immediately following the ceremony, a tour of the exhibition grounds and meetings with producers are scheduled.
A key moment in the program is the round table discussion titled "Bulgarian Fruits and Vegetables: From Garden to Market – Solutions for Income, Water, and Production Protection," starting at 11:00. Participants in the discussion will include representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the State Fund "Agriculture", the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency, the parliamentary committee on agriculture, as well as representatives from municipalities and regional administrations. They will focus on market access, purchase prices, and unfair trade practices, as well as climate risks, irrigation, plant health, and the fight against black knot. Experts will also examine administrative burden, labor shortages, cooperation, short supply chains, and direct sales.
The forum, dedicated to Bulgarian seasonal produce, brings together businesses, institutions, experts, consumers, and agricultural producers in one place. By promoting short supply chains and direct sales, the goal is to build a closer connection between producers and consumers.
For lovers of local goods, a farmers' market has been organized where fruits, vegetables, and other products can be purchased directly from the producers. The program includes tastings, culinary demonstrations, and the "Business Meetings in the Field" initiative. The afternoon of the first day will feature presentations by sponsors, partners, and companies, strength demonstrations, and the culinary initiative "Children Cooking with Bulgarian Products." For the entertainment of attendees, a DJ program, a concert by Stefan Koev and "Kupondzhii," and a performance by the "Sliven" ensemble are prepared.
The second day of the exhibition will focus on Bulgarian flavor, technology, and business. Everything begins at 8:30 with the farmers' market, followed by the "Culinary Academy in the Field" starting at 9:00. The second day's program also includes a concert by the "Kozhuharovi" duo, a lighting ceremony, and the distribution of the "kurban" (ritual food), with the official closing of the forum scheduled for 13:00.
