Electricity for business on the Bulgarian power exchange will cost an average of €208.40 per megawatt hour, excluding VAT, on 8 October. That is 4.93% more than today's price, the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange (IBEX) said. The figures are for the day-ahead market and come after trading closed.
At the previous session, yesterday, the average price was €198.60 per megawatt hour.
In peak hours, from 09:00 to 20:00, the price averages €188.13 per megawatt hour. Off-peak, from 01:00 to 08:00 and from 21:00 to 24:00, it is higher, averaging €228.66. The exchange sold 86,469.92 megawatt hours in total.
On the intraday market, the weighted average price for 60-minute products is €189.76 per megawatt hour, excluding VAT. For 15-minute products, the weighted average price for the day is €190.23. Both figures are as of the time the data was published.
