Power prices for businesses rise 1.77% for October 6 delivery

Electricity for businesses on October 6 will cost an average of 207.38 euros per megawatt-hour, excluding VAT, up 1.77% from today's closing price on the exchange, the Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange says.

The Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange has published day-ahead trading results for power delivered on October 6. The average price was 207.38 euros per megawatt-hour, excluding VAT — up 1.77% from today's closing price of 203.78 euros.

Electricity traded at an average of 173.57 euros per megawatt-hour during peak hours, from 09:00 to 20:00. Prices were higher in off-peak hours — 01:00 to 08:00 and 21:00 to 24:00 — at 241.19 euros per megawatt-hour. Total sales for October 6 came to 103,893.88 megawatt-hours.

The exchange also released figures for intraday trading: the weighted average price for 60-minute delivery products, excluding VAT, was 168.11 euros per megawatt-hour, while 15-minute products averaged 163.40 euros per megawatt-hour for the day.
