Wind power supplied 12% of Europe's electricity over the past 24 hours, figures from WindEurope Power Numbers show. Onshore turbines did most of the work, generating 10.7% of the total, or 647 gigawatt-hours. Offshore wind farms added 1.3%, or 78 gigawatt-hours.
Montenegro had the highest share of wind in its power mix at 57.7%, followed by Sweden at 50.5% and Denmark at 48.2%. Bulgaria's share was 0.5%.
In total output, Sweden led with 147.7 gigawatt-hours, ahead of France with 81.8 gigawatt-hours and Spain with 77.8 gigawatt-hours. Bulgaria's wind farms produced 0.4 gigawatt-hours over the same period.
