Svilengrad's 2027 budget is one of 21 items on the agenda for the town council's next meeting. The full agenda is already posted on the municipality's website.

Councillors will look at the budget along with updated forecasts for local services in 2028 and 2029, and will discuss changes to the 2026 budget too. Officials will lay out how much revenue they expect from 2027 to 2029 from property tax, vehicle tax and the household waste fee.

The meeting must also approve the National Audit Office's opinion on the municipality's consolidated annual financial report for 2025. Councillors will decide what position and mandate the municipality's representative will hold at the general meeting of the "Haskovo Water and Sewage Association."

Another item covers staffing and the 2027–2029 forecast for the municipally run company "MBAL – Svilengrad" EOOD. The council will also hear a report on the work of the state forestry service's local branch in Svilengrad.

Several items deal with municipal property: selling and buying buildings, and ending shared ownership of some properties. Councillors will also look at changes to the "staff parking pass" scheme and an update to the development plan for the street layout of Bulgaria Boulevard and Mir Street.

They will also decide whether the building of the former Hristo Popmarkov primary school should be used for after-school activities, arts, sports and support for children and students' personal development.
