A free bus will run between Trakia Square in Ivaylovgrad and the Armira complex for the trahana festival, organisers said. The festival is tomorrow, 7 November, from 10:00 to 18:00.
The first bus leaves the square at 10:20 and returns from Armira at 13:30. The second leaves at 14:00 and returns from the complex at 17:00. The transport firm Zangochevi is providing the buses.
Donations will go towards repairing the roof of a building with a museum exhibition, next to the church in the village of Pelevun. Donation boxes will be at the festival.
The festival is organised by Trahana "Noshtvi" with Temenuzhka Mateva and Ivaylovgrad municipality. Simeon Vladov is the host. The programme will take place under the canopy in the complex's garden. People who keep and pass on knowledge about food, the land, crafts and traditions will take part.
Organisers say this knowledge lives not only in books and museums, but also in skilled hands, family recipes and people's wish to pass on what they have learned.
The open areas around the tower, the amphitheatre and the other marked zones are free to walk around, without entering the villa. There is also a children's corner.
The ancient villa Armira can be visited separately, with an entry ticket and a guide, under the site's rules. Tours there run every 40 minutes.
