DPS leader Delyan Peevski has denied he is to blame for the bomb threats that interior minister Ivan Demerdzhiev linked to his hearing in parliament. Peevski spoke to reporters in the corridors of the National Assembly.
Demerdzhiev told MPs during weekly question time that the threats of recent days escalate "in certain periods of time", for example after his 2 July hearing, when he gave details of flights by the head of a parliamentary group.
Peevski replied that he would give the minister a thermometer. He said Demerdzhiev thinks of him at night, not of his wife, and either has a fever or nobody has tucked him in. Peevski said the government makes up nonsense every day.
"There is no way I can be to blame that the state is shaking with problems and that they simply cannot govern," he said. "Let this government get some sleep, I can see they are very worried about me," Peevski added.
Asked about the visit of Kyrylo Budanov, head of the office of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky, the DPS leader said he had no information and that the question was for the prime minister.
