The movement of heavy goods vehicles weighing over 12 tons will be restricted on the "Trakia", "Hemus", and "Struma" motorways, as well as on a section of road I-1 in Blagoevgrad region, during the Independence Day holidays on September 22.

Meanwhile, traffic delays are being observed at the 245-km mark of the "Trakia" motorway in the direction of Sofia, with vehicles traveling in the active lane. According to a message from the press center of the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA), traffic is being diverted into the active lane due to a road traffic accident.

Restrictions on major highways will affect logistics and travel for citizens, including those heading towards central Bulgaria.

Traffic at the scene is being managed by "Road Police" officers. In this regard, the RIA advises drivers to maintain a safe speed and exercise increased caution.
