One person died and 29 were injured in road crashes across Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, the Interior Ministry said on its official website.

In Sofia alone there were 40 minor accidents, in which five people were hurt.

Since the start of October, 23 people have died on the roads and another 324 have been injured. There were 255 crashes with injuries or deaths in that period.

Since the start of the year there have been 5,414 road accidents. They killed 391 people and injured 6,724. In the same period of 2025, 337 people died, so this year's toll is 54 higher.
