President Iliana Yotova has offered condolences on the death of Ana Maria Ribeiro da Silva, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Portugal to Bulgaria. The condolences were addressed to her family, loved ones and colleagues, as well as to the Portuguese people, the president's press office announced.
In her message, Yotova wrote that through her professionalism, dedication and humanity, Ambassador Ribeiro had left a lasting mark on the development of friendly relations between Bulgaria and Portugal.
The diplomat's sudden death, the president added, is a heavy loss for the diplomatic community and for everyone who had the chance to know her and work with her.
