Wind power supplied 17.2% of all electricity generated in Europe over the past 24 hours, data platform WindEurope Power Numbers said in its daily bulletin. Of that, 14% (952 gigawatt-hours) came from onshore turbines and 3.2% (214 gigawatt-hours) from offshore wind farms.
Denmark got the largest share of its electricity from wind, at 134.7%, followed by Sweden with 71.7% and Lithuania with 70.6%. Bulgaria was at the bottom of the table, with a share of just 0.4%.
Germany generated the most wind power over the 24 hours, at 329.6 gigawatt-hours, ahead of Sweden with 240.8 gigawatt-hours and Denmark with 110 gigawatt-hours. Bulgaria generated just 0.3 gigawatt-hours.
