Bulgaria's construction output rose 4.2% in August from a year earlier, preliminary data from the National Statistical Institute show. That is slower than July, when annual growth was 4.9%.
Output was up 0.8% on July after seasonal adjustment, following a 0.6% fall the month before.
On the month, specialised construction work grew the most, by 2.4%. Civil engineering rose 0.5%, while building construction fell 0.4%.
All three types of construction grew on the year: buildings by 7.4%, civil engineering by 4.2% and specialised construction work by 0.8%.
