Traffic police will launch their "Winter" campaign on 1 November, Commissioner Sergey Alexov, deputy head of the traffic police at the National Police General Directorate, told a news conference.
The campaign runs in three stages of ten days each. In the first, from 1 to 10 November, officers will check that vehicles are ready for winter.
Commissioner Alexov said the aim is to make roads safer and cut the number of crashes.
