At today's plenary session of the National Assembly, deputies will discuss at first reading the amendments to the Renewable Energy Act proposed by the Council of Ministers. Within the same session, the parliamentary agenda also includes bills for the amendment and supplementation of the Electronic Identification Act at first reading, and the program concludes with the second reading of the amendments to the Law on Equality between Women and Men.

Changes to the Energy Act will determine the conditions for using renewable energy and energy costs for households in Burgas and the region.

The Chairperson of the National Assembly, Michaela Dotova, opened the session on 17 September. Today marks the feast day of the holy martyrs Faith, Hope, Love, and their mother Sophia, as well as the holiday of the Bulgarian capital. From the parliamentary rostrum, she extended special greetings to the city: "Happy holiday, Sofia!". Similar greetings regarding the Sofia holiday were also delivered by representatives of "Progressive Bulgaria".
