Minister of Agriculture and Food Plamen Abrovski today opened the two-day exhibition "From Garden to You – Elenovo 2026" in the village of Elenovo. The forum is dedicated to Bulgarian seasonal produce and brings together farmers, consumers, experts, business representatives, and institutions.
From September 25 to 27, Yambol will host National Bio Fest 2026, where certified Bulgarian organic producers will showcase their products. Organizers from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (MAF) aim to promote organic farming and domestic production, as well as to help consumers make informed choices. The forum program includes:
- culinary demonstrations;
- free tastings;
- creative activities;
- a musical program.
The city of Yambol, host of this second edition of the national festival, already has established formats for presenting organic produce and creates opportunities for a direct connection between producers and consumers. Every month, a regional bazaar is organized at "Osvobozhdenie" Square, and a farmer and artisan exhibition is held regionally with the participation of producers from Southeastern Bulgaria. The Yambol Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with the local municipality and the "Yambol - Taste and Traditions" Foundation, is the organizer of these two forums.
According to media reports, the first edition of such an initiative took place last year in Veliko Tarnovo. During that event, the Annual Awards for Organic Producers in Bulgaria were presented in various categories, along with awards for municipalities with the most significant contribution to the development of organic production and organic food supply in the country.
