BDZ launched its new campaign "Transport and Tourism - Connecting the Journey with the Experience" today at Sofia Central Station, aiming to establish rail transport as a leading tourism destination, according to press centers of the Ministries of Transport and Tourism. The ceremony will be attended by Minister of Tourism Ilin Dimitrov and Minister of Transport and Communications Georgi Peev.
One of the highlights of the event will be the presentation of a dining car with a newly redesigned exterior, which now features the country's tourism logo. Additionally, Minister Peev will announce upcoming changes aimed at improving the passenger experience on long-distance journeys.
The new initiatives to improve rail transport will also be important for the convenience of travel for tourists and local residents in the Burgas region.
The event follows closely after the end of last month, when Georgi Peev introduced Bulgaria's first Alstom electric multiple unit, media outlets report.
