Low water levels on the Danube River have caused a temporary suspension of ferry services at the Svishtov – Zimnice and Oryahovo – Bechet crossings. Traffic at all other border checkpoints heading towards Romania remains normal.
Traffic towards Greece at all border crossings is experiencing normal load. Vehicle movement is distributed as follows:
- "Kulata", "Ilijden", and "Kapitan Petko Voyvoda" are used for passenger cars, buses, and heavy goods vehicles;
- "Rudozem", "Zlatograd", "Makaza", and "Ivaylovgrad" serve passenger cars and minibuses up to 3.5 tons.
Heavy traffic is being recorded at the exits for heavy goods vehicles heading towards Turkey, specifically at the "Kapitan Andreevo" and "Lesovo" border checkpoints. This information was provided by the General Directorate "Border Police" – Ministry of Interior in an official statement on the agency's website, updated as of 6:00 a.m. this morning.
Traffic is normal at all border checkpoints located on the borders with Serbia and North Macedonia.
