The State Folk Ensemble "Philip Kutev" is launching its new creative season with the jubilee performance "Krgovrat" (Circle) at the Burgas Summer Theater. Organized by the ensemble's team, the performance is part of a series of events celebrating the 75th anniversary of the ensemble's founding.
The show brings together different generations, traditions, and iconic works from the collective's creative journey on a single stage. Through music, song, and dance, "Krgovrat" traces the connection between the past and the present, as well as the evolution of Bulgarian folklore.
The performance combines musical, vocal, and dance arts, which are characteristic elements of the State Folk Ensemble "Philip Kutev"'s creative identity. Founded in 1951 by composer and conductor Philip Kutev, the ensemble has established itself over the years as one of the most recognizable representatives of Bulgarian folk art both domestically and abroad.
Following its season opening in Burgas, the "Krgovrat" performance will be presented as part of a national tour across several cities in the country.
