The Central Election Commission (CEC) has received registration documents for 19 candidate lists for the upcoming presidential and vice-presidential elections. The documents were submitted by 5:00 p.m. today, September 20, 2026, the commission announced on Facebook.
The elections for the head of state and his deputy are scheduled for October 25, 2026. Parliament set the date in July, and it was published in the "State Gazette." The CEC adopted the election process timeline on August 13.
The candidate lists registered so far are:

- 6. Radostin Petev Vasilev – candidate for president and Krasimir Tsvetkov Manov – candidate for vice-president
- 7. Metodi Veselinov Bachvarov – candidate for president and Lenin Velinov Stanoev – candidate for vice-president
