Police caught three drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the regional police directorate in Haskovo said in its bulletin for 28 September 2026.

In Svilengrad, police stopped a 32-year-old man driving a Mercedes with a blood alcohol level of 2.16 per mille. Tests also found amphetamine in his system. He refused to give a blood sample.

The other two drivers were caught on 26 and 27 September. A 60-year-old man from the village of Zvezdelina had 1.67 per mille and hit a guardrail. A 20-year-old from Harmanli tested at 1.23 per mille.
