Businesses will pay 2.8% more for electricity delivered on October 2, according to data from the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange after today's trading closed.

On the "Day Ahead" segment, a megawatt-hour sold for an average of 138.63 euros excluding VAT, up from 134.86 euros at yesterday's close.

Traders sold 110,818.72 megawatt-hours for Friday. During peak hours, from 9am to 8pm, a megawatt-hour cost 95.63 euros. Off-peak, from 1am to 8am and from 9pm to midnight, the average price was 181.63 euros.

On the "Intraday" segment, the weighted average price for 60-minute products was 78.54 euros per megawatt-hour excluding VAT. For 15-minute products, the daily price had reached 103.09 euros by this hour.
