One euro buys $1.1177 at the European Central Bank's reference rate for 7 October. Yesterday the rate was $1.1204.

One dollar buys €0.8947, against €0.8925 yesterday. The ECB and the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) have published the figures on their websites.

One euro also buys 0.84645 British pounds, 0.9309 Swiss francs and 4.3825 Polish zloty. It buys 5.3528 Romanian lei and 7.4745 Danish kroner too. The other rates are 24.427 Czech koruna, 176.85 Japanese yen and 7.4937 Chinese yuan. Only the dollar rate comes with a comparison to the previous day.

The table lists the rates of 29 foreign currencies against the euro. The BNB publishes them under Article 12, paragraph 1 of the Currency Act.

The BNB says the rates serve the purposes set out in the law and should not be used for making deals.
