"Green Movement" has declared its categorical support for Borislav Sandov and promised to assist him through every legal means to prove the baselessness of the accusations against him and to clear his name. The party, whose National Council includes Sandov as a member, expects the competent authorities to conduct an objective, transparent, and independent investigation, in which each party has the right to a defense and the opportunity to present its own evidence.

According to the political formation, the manner in which the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office (SCP) is acting against Sandov, combined with the timing of this action, constitutes an "active measure" through which the authorities are unconstitutionally interfering in the upcoming presidential and vice-presidential elections. In its official position, the party asserts that "the goal of the behind-the-scenes masters of the prosecutor's office is clear – to create uncertainty and fear among key opposition figures, to seize even more power, and to concentrate it in a single center to divert Bulgaria from its democratic achievements and its European path".

"Green Movement" sharply criticizes the transformation of political and social life into an arena for media insinuations and character assassinations before the truth has been established, insisting that every accusation must be examined through concrete documents, media, and evidence, rather than through public suggestions. They emphasize that the existence of an administrative or procedural issue is not equivalent to a crime. To establish criminal liability, the specific elements of a crime must be proven: the alleged abuse of power, the specific intent to provide an undue advantage, and the resulting harmful consequences.

At the center of the charge brought by the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office is an agreement signed in 2022, when Borislav Sandov held the position of Minister of Environment and Water. The Prosecutor's Office states that he has been charged with delegating control functions to a non-governmental organization in protected areas in the vicinity of the "Petrohan" hut. However, the party demands answers to key questions: were state control powers actually granted to an NGO, were these powers actually exercised, what specific advantage was gained, and what exactly are the alleged "significant harmful consequences".

As an argument for the baselessness of the accusation, "Green Movement" cites inspections conducted by RIEW-Sofia in December 2022 and January 2023. These inspections found no unregulated control or security activities being carried out based on the agreement. Borislav Sandov is identified by the party as one of the key figures of the democratic and ecological community in the country.
