The Bulgarian cabinet is due to discuss the 2025 annual report on national security and the national counter-terrorism plan today, the government press office said. It will also ask parliament to approve the updated draft investment cost for buying surface-to-air missile systems.
The government will also look at a draft decree on extra transfers to municipal budgets for 2026. Another item is a decision to approve the 2026 budget of the Electricity System Security Fund.
A further draft decision provides for Bulgaria to open a consulate in the British city of Swansea and appoint an honorary consul. The consular district would cover Wales.
Ministers will also review Bulgaria's position for the meeting of the Eurogroup and the EU's Economic and Financial Affairs Council. It takes place on 8 and 9 October in Luxembourg.
The cabinet will also consider a draft amendment to the ordinance on state requirements for admitting students to universities. Draft changes to the Currency Act, the Legal Aid Act and the Hunting and Game Protection Act are on the agenda too.
