The National Protective Service (NSO) has ordered a check on the actions of its officers after an incident involving a representative of the PIK news agency, the service's press office said. The military prosecutor's office has been informed.
The incident happened at an event attended by people the NSO guards.
The service has reviewed video recordings showing how the incident developed between its officers and the agency's representative. Its leaders ordered an immediate and thorough check on the officers' actions. They say everything needed has been done to clear up the case fully.
If the officers' actions turn out not to match what the situation required, the strictest measures will follow, the NSO said.
The service called on people to respect the inviolability of those it guards. It said the law requires its officers to act when someone tries to breach it.
