The ship CHELSEA 3, hit by drones, will be met at Burgas port by transport minister Georgi Peev and harbour master Zhivko Petrov, the ministry told the BTA news agency.
This story follows our earlier report on the drone attacks on ships in the Black Sea, which prime minister Rumen Radev announced on 13 October.
The ship is due in Burgas at about 7am today. The main part of the tow began last night at 8:25pm.
Drones hit the Malta-flagged motor ship 17 nautical miles east of Byala. All 15 crew members were rescued.
Another ship, the Guinea-Bissau-flagged HS Dignity, sank after a drone strike 17 nautical miles east of Shabla.
A report of an alleged crime linked to CHELSEA 3 led to a pre-trial investigation yesterday. The Military District Prosecutor's Office in Sofia opened the case. The alleged crime took place in Bulgaria's exclusive economic zone in the Black Sea.
