Lawmakers rejected a series of opposition requests to amend the parliament's weekly agenda. The majority did not support any of the four proposals submitted by different parties for today's session.

GERB-SDS insisted that Energy Minister Iva Petrova be heard today. The move comes amid reports that the Bulgarian state could withdraw its participation, through BEH, in oil and gas exploration at the Han Asparuh field, Block 1. The chamber rejected the proposal.

A request by Vazrazhdane for tomorrow's session to open with hearings from the Interior Ministry, the Defense Ministry, the State Agency for National Security (DANS) and the State Agency for Reserve (DAR) also failed to pass. The party demanded explanations following reports that training involving foreign instructors from special forces units, who are training foreign servicemen, is taking place on Bulgarian territory.

Lawmakers also did not approve a proposal by Venko Sabrutev of We Continue the Change for tomorrow's third agenda item to be the first reading of amendments to the Road Traffic Act.

Also rejected was a request by Bozhidar Bozhanov of Democratic Bulgaria for today's session to open with a decision tasking the National Audit Office with checking how the State Agency for State Reserve and War-Time Stocks manages fuel reserves.

Lawmakers began today's session with the first reading of a new consumer credit bill submitted by the Council of Ministers.
