The National Council for Tripartite Cooperation failed to agree on a draft government decree setting the minimum wage for 2027, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy said. Minister Natalia Efremova proposed €660. Employer groups backed the figure, but the unions did not.

That is €39.80 more than the current minimum wage of €620.20.

Where it began: Tripartite council to take up tax laws together, minimum wage separately

Efremova said the amount is in line with what the state budget can afford and takes account of the social role of the minimum wage.
