Parliament's health committee has approved a single bill that combines two draft amendments to the law on protection from the harmful effects of chemical substances and mixtures. See our original report: Parliament backs tighter controls on mercury and precursors.
The Council of Ministers submitted the first bill on 24 July and the second on 9 September. MPs passed both at first reading in the full chamber on 1 October.
The Ministry of Environment and Water and the Ministry of Health confirmed that the legal and technical corrections were made correctly.
